Rom-Builder Mi3

Post by Simo » 18 Feb 2018, 21:04

Hallo!
I want to build a Cancro ROM for Mi3 with expert-settings. I deleted Browser, Email, Mi Daemon for example and wanted Root-Access with super-su. But after install I have no root but Email, Browser etc. The zip-file is even bigger.
My install.log is attached.
Thank you.

Dear dr4kendroid!
I asked the same (18.Feb) than Tool88 today and 0verseer on 17. Feb and uploaded my install.log. Why didn't I get an answer?

I have fixed a bug reagrding the App delete features today. Can you please try it again ?
Couldnt find any useful infos in your logfile.

Maybe you try Magisk root instead of supersu. Does that work ?

Sorry, no difference.
The files are always the same size, no matter if super-su or magisk or default.

Well the ROM file you download is always the same. The magic happens with the config string.
While ROM installation a script is reading the filename of the zip file and then the features will be installed or not.

Thank you, actually I knew it, but I never got the modifications.
My real problem is, that after installation of MIUI my system-partition is too small for the scheduled modifications and the install stopped. So I get standard xiaomi-eu.
Do you know a solution for me?
How to enlarge my system-partition?

Follow this tutorial http://en.miui.com/thread-99430-1-1.html

Newer devices have larger /system partitions by default.

I did merge the two partition maybe two years ago. My system-partition is about 1,2GB (1258MB exactly) but after update only 15MB left. So your optimization wont be installed. I have no idea how to fix it.
Does it help to repair or to change size with TWRP ?

Well you can go further and decrease your /data partition for about 200 MB and add it to your /system .
You just have to follow the instructions on the tutorial and lower the /data space to increase the /system space.

Wow, but I think it's a little bit difficult for me.
Is it possible to make a "hand-made" mi-globe-ROM. I've already intalled super-su.zip, deleted Browser and Email and installed Adaway manually. Now I have 150MB free-space on my /System.
Now I can install your Mods. But what is with GOV-Tuner, GPS-Tuning, Xiaomi-Sync-Services, Viper, SSH-Server and debloating and so on.
Will it work?

Thank you for your great ROM.
