Poor battery life after flashing GlobeROM

Post by Kenju » 11 Feb 2018, 18:52

Hey all,

I have two Redmi phones, a Redmi Note 2 and a Redmi Pro (Mediatek MT6797T Helio X25, 64 GB). Both I have flashed GlobeROM on, and unfortunately, the battery life is just terrible. On the Redmi Pro, with the original ROM, I was able to go for two days, even longer if I used it less. I've noticed that on the Redmi Note 2, the battery life got better again when I flashed the original ROM. However, I really like GlobeROM for it's performance and looks and that it has the Xiaomi.eu languages. But the Redmi Pro has a massive battery (4050 mAh) as most of you know. It's idiotic that I can only go one day with that.

I haven't tried going back on the original ROM for the Redmi Pro because there's only a Chinese ROM available with MIUI 9 and no Global ROMs.

So I guess my question is, is the GlobeROM indeed so terrible in terms of battery life on the Redmi Pro and Note 2? Or is it bad for all phones? And is there a solution?

globeROM is bascially not very different then xiaomi.eu.
Maybe your phone doesnt like one of the Mods you have chosen in ROM Builder?

Try a stable ROM, withut Viper and GovTuner for example.
