Lockscreen, Status Bar, Notification Bar
New - Fingerprint watermark is always displayed when the lock screen
Fix - Issue with black wallpaper after the fingerprint is unlocked (Mi 8 EE)
New - Option to disable unpack first notification

Known issue:
- SystemUI crash with German language (skip this update or set English)



Known issue:
Dolby ATMOS temporarily disabled due to bug

I have A Mi8 and Mix 2.
In regards to gps.config file, In your specially for Europe configuration, ASIA is used for Test* and Sweden is used as Default Server.
Does it affect me in Germany or can i just change the server to de. ?

Also, can I change The ASIA to Europe without problems ?

I've flashed it yesterday with Europe tweak and it's working flawless

Did you do any extra tweaking* or just the default globerom config ?

Yesterday my gps locked up on me again and after reboot(with reboot blackout), it started working again.

On Mi8 , for the last 2 days my messaging app has force closed and won´t work.
Today my gps died again and no matter how many times i reboot it doesn´t help.

Hi,

I have a new Redmi Note 5 (whyred) and I flashed it with the latest mi-globe rom. Unfortunately the selected apps (MiXplorer, MiUI Unlimited and AdAway) have not been installed. This is the first custom rom on this device and I made full wipe. And I tried to flash it more times, but the result is the same.

I have attached the install.log file. Could you check it, please?

So in meantime, on Mi8 , we have not one stable rom to choose from, be it version 9.6 or Miui 10.

Cosmetic touches and small changes but no one is concentrating on major bugs.

Without these fixes we don´t have a reliable phone.

Maybe all of us buyers of the Mi8 phones should start an action of returning our new expensive phones for a refund.
Miui 10 has been an effort in futility since it appeared and the Mi8 phones have not held up for a whole week, thus the constant need to reflash everything because then the phone will work for a few days if we are lucky and then it starts getting errors and force closes.
I realise that the developers work hard to CREATE these roms but there has been a dramatic dropoff in quality for the last few months.
I am not sure where the blame lies, but it does need to be pointed out.

I wrote along these lines on Xiaomi.EU forum and all the yes men and buttlickers attacked me because i wasn´t just saying my thanks and leaving like many others do.
These forums need honest feedback, it sadly can´t always be positive.
If everything worked flawlessly , there wouldn´t be ANY feedback other than the above named persons.
As for feedback and comments, where are the persons in the know to answer questions and offer help?
The changelog above for example has more than one entry of users having honest software problems and i don´t see any helpful hints anywhere.
