I noticed the same thing on my Mi4 with different ROMs. I checked with CPU-Z and Kernel Adiutor.

But I didn't experience any performance issues so I rather think the cores are working but the reading of the values is wrong.

Use MiXplorer or any other root explorer and delete "/system/bin/mpdecision" from your phone. (Or rename it instead)
Reboot..
See if your cores stay online.

Then it is no mpdecision "problem"...
Could be thermal daemon or just a false displaying of cores.

If you say you got lower performance, then it might be thermal daemon.
Please send logcat logfile.

You can use special apps for logcat output or connect to android terminal type:

Code: Select all

logcat > /sdcard/logcat_logfile.log
(keep it running for about 30 minutes).

Then upload logfile here.
