BootLoop Fix Test Release

Postby dr4kendroid » 30 May 2017, 12:42

Unfortunately we have had problems with bootloops for some devices in the last weeks.
We have been working very hard to track/find the root of this problems and fix it.

This is not easy since we dont have the devices here and need community help to do all that stuff.
After lots of testing and test-releases we think we have fixed the problem now and provided some test ROMs for you.

Worst thing that can happen is that you still end in bootloop, then you can flash another ROM or older release and your phone is just fine again! But please do backup before you flash - doesnt hurt ;P
We need to know if the bootloop problem is gone on these test releases in all 3 cases (supersu rooted, no root , magisk rooted)!

Please try out the following ROMs and report if its fine:
Mi4c magisk
Mi4c supersu
Mi4c no-root
RedMi 4 Pro magisk
RedMi 4 Pro supersu
RedMi 4 Pro no-root
RedMi 4 A magisk
RedMi 4 A supersu
RedMi 4 A no-root
MiMax Pro magisk
MiMax Pro supersu
MiMax Pro no-root

Thanks for your help !

Once we have all positive reports, we will rebuild all ROMs and open the ROM-Builder again. :)

Good evening! I'm reporting that both SuperSU and No Root versions of the rolex ROM (Redmi 4A) are NOT working, tried with TWRP 3.0.2-0 cofface (with dm-verity.zip patch) and with TWRP 3.1.0-0 Unofficial (without the dm-verity.zip patch).

I've alaso tried to flash the boot and system images individually and both scenarios resulted into boot lock... As the device can't be accessed via adb debug after flashing there is no way to generate the required logcat.

I only would like to know if there is a previous version that works for rolex devices, as both 7.5.11 and 7.5.18 suffer from the same issue as this one.

Thanks a lot for your effort!

Would be nice to hear what you report about the magisk version. No dm-verity patching afterwards ..just flashing the ROM with your most recent TWRP version.
Please upload /tmp/recovery.log or /sdcard/globeROM_boot.log afte flashing.

I confirm that magisk root version for redmi 4a works: it's booting now, i'm very happy. I tried only this version, because i haven't much time. my device is now on initial rom setup. i hope the problem has been solved, so we can use the rom builder in the next release. thank you.

Good day.

Which TWRP version do you have? Is there any way to remove Magisk root after installation?

Thanks for your time!

Magisk is systemless installation. It only affects your boot-image and will be overwritten once you flash a new ROM or boot.img.
