Re: Install log for 4A rolex
Ok, I tried again but got the same result. I'm attaching the corresponding log files.
I'm using TWRP from xiaomi.eu which is 3.0.2-0 cofface, but I could try with the unofficial 3.1.0-0 if needed.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Install log for 4A rolex
To fix this bug 100 % we need a logfile from logcat while bootloop.
Can you please try the following:
Flash buggy ROM
Reboot until bootloop
now connect phone to your computer - USB
type "adb logcat" to see the log
That would help us a lot !
Find further info about logcat here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showth ... ?t=1726238

I've tried the method mentioned here to try to generate the log, however I used this command:
"adb logcat -v long > globeROM_rolex.txt" with no quotes.
And I observed the following:
1) The command works within TWRP and while the phone is installing the ROM, as expected.
2) As soon as I choose the "Reboot System" button the phone disappears from the Device Manager.
3) The phone reboots into the MI logo screen and it DOESN'T appear again in the Device Manager (I left the device connected arround 20 mins)
4) If I unplug the USB cable the phone reboots and gets stuck in the MI logo again (no bootloop, just stuck forever)
My suspect is either a fault in the boot image or in the DM-verity flash made by the TWRP after the ROM installation, as I can force a reboot to TWRP (it doesn't get erased) while stuck via the power and vol buttons and I can fix the phone with a backup of the stock boot and system images from the China Developer ROM.
If there is anythig else I can do, please tell me.
Thanks in advance.

thanks for all the testing, we already know the problem but did not find a way to 100 % fix it . Only 99 %

Logfile would help us to find a solution but we are still working on it !
I will upload a new test rom tomorrow and you would help us a lot when you test it and report

Thanks again for your help !

I'm attaching the logcat file that I got while installing the ROM from the beginning of the flash procedure until the phone became "dead" in the Device Manager.
Thanks a lot for your hard work!

Re: Install log for 4A rolex
I think I got the 100 % fix !
But I need you to help me verify..
I have uploaded 7.5.25 Redmi 4A and Redmi 4Pro (markw and rolex) with fix !
Please download the ROM 3 times (without root, with supersu root and with magisk root)
Please do the following for all of the 3 variants:
-Install ROM
-Check if you have bootloop (should not happen!!)
-When system booting fine, get "/sdcard/MIUI/globeROM_boot.log" and upload it here so I can check.
When all 3 work fine, we got it
!
Thanks again for your perfect help !

Ok, I've downloaded the most recent ROM and tried to install it a little while ago, however my phone didn't boot at all again... I tested both the no root and SuperSU versions with no avail (I tried to wait as much as I could with the phone in the MI logo screen, about 20 mins each).
I don't know if the problem is repeating just into my phone or not... And as this is my only device I couldn't try again until tomorrow because I need the phone working for my work.
If I can make some more testing I'll report back ASAP.
Thanks for your hard work.
