Firmware update fails across the board since firmware partition fails to mount.

Postby veeraragavan_n » 17 Apr 2018, 02:41

I've noticed that splash is being mounted by name to /firmware. So firmware ends up not being up to date which ends up in a bootloop sometimes. Then the same thing fails across the board on Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 3s Prime, Mi 5, Mi Max apart from Mi Max 2. So I update firmware manually on these devices by flashing corresponding NON-HLOS.BIN from its fastboot file to firmware partition. Hope this is fixed soon otherwise a lot of people are going to end up with bootloops soon.
